The red car and rusty tanker truck that Ford's gang dodges in the beginning of the film are the same ones from the Steven Spielberg film _Duel (1971/I) (TV)_

At one point, Cary says, "I live my life a quarter mile at a time." Shane responds with, "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!" This was an intentional poke at The Fast and the Furious (2001). Vin Diesel's character used the phrase in that movie (which was also produced by Neal H. Moritz).
Jesse James of West Coast Choppers and Monster Garage makes a cameo appearance in the scene where Ford and Shane are talking inside the tent. Two of his custom choppers are used later in the movie as the bikes Henry James' drugs are stored in.
The "Jet Turbine" Y2K bike that Cary Ford rides to catch Henry actually exists - one is owned by Jay Leno. It's an MTT Turbine SUPERBIKE, powered by a Rolls-Royce Allison 250 turboshaft engine commonly used in helicopters.
Ice Cube says the line "Fuck The Police", a reference to his song (when he was the rapper from N.W.A. back in 1988) by the same name.
"Sam & Twitch", displayed on Agent McPherson's t-shirt, are characters that originally appeared in Todd McFarlane's dark comic book 'Spawn'. They were popular enough to eventually get their own series.
When Ford drives past the road sign at the start of the film it spins and reads "cars suck".
