  • Continuity: When Elle and Grace are talking in front of the coffee stand, the clear plastic spoon Grace uses to stir her coffee becomes a wooden-strip stirrer between shots.

  • Continuity: In Legally Blonde (2001), Elle graduates from Law School in 2004, yet in this movie they make several references to the fact that it is 2003.

  • Anachronisms: In the opening, there is a reference made to Elle Woods crying at the age of 3 whenever she was taken to BabyGap. BabyGap didn't exist until 1990, when the character was probably about 9 or 10. Even GapKids didn't open until 1986, well after the character would have been 3.

  • Continuity: The door of Congresswoman Hauser's office states that she represents the 10th District of Texas, but her web site states that she represents the 31st District of Texas.

  • Factual errors: The chamber that the House of Representatives meets in does not have assigned seating or desks at every seat.

  • Continuity: While Elle is standing in the Congresswoman's office for the first time we see her take off her gloves but in the next shot, her gloves are still on.

  • Continuity: When Elle and Emmit leave the wedding they are followed in a motorcycle that contains Bruiser. In the next shot, it is gone.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Congresswoman Rudd announces that she isn't going to back Bruiser's Bill, people are scrambling about and using their phones. The woman sitting behind Elle is using hers upside down.

  • Continuity: In the scene in Elle's apartment where she is reviewing the map and what signatures they have, she writes on top of the map, explaining colour codes. In the next shot, it is there, then it isn't.

  • Continuity: When Congresswoman Rudd is standing outside her office to tell Elle that C'es Manifique was going to release all test animals, her necklace is inside her jacket. As she walks into her office, the necklace is outside the jacket and hanging askew. When she turns around to talk to Elle again, the necklace is once again inside her jacket.

  • Continuity: When detective Finchley and Elle talk about finding Bruiser's mother, Elle is holding Bruiser below his paws, and a second later she's holding him above his paws.

  • Continuity: When Elle comes out of the elevator at her job, the flower on top of her hat is facing forward above her right ear. But in the shot of her walking down the hall delivering coffee, the flower is now on the back of the hat and behind her right ear.

  • Continuity: When Timothy puts his snap into the Snap Cup and then Elle picks from the cup, she picks up Timothy's but says she gets her own.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the hearing for Bruiser's Bill, Elle puts Bruiser in his bag on the table beside her. You can hear her say "my best friend" but as there's a cut to a close-up of Bruiser, you can see Elle's lips in the right hand corner, forming the words "my best friend" silently.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: The first time Elle introduces the Snap Cup, she is holding the cup in her right hand and paper in her left. When it comes time to snap she makes a snapping motion with her left hand while still holding the paper and a snapping sound is heard. There is no way her fingers could actually make the snapping sound with the paper in the way.

  • Factual errors: You see a crowd of people on the steps on the capital as Elle enters the capital building. In fact, all of the buildings on capital hill are connected by halls underground and people who visit and work at the capital almost never go from one building to another above ground.

  • Revealing mistakes: In the last scene when Emmet asks Elle where she would like to live.In the next shot when the White House is shown and then the shot comes back to Elle, Emmet can no longer be seen beside her, as it clear it's a computer generated shot of Elle.
