CBS and DreamWorks Television will adapt the UK crime series Wire in the Blood for North American audiences, with writer Ildy "CSI: Miami" Modrovich scripting the pilot and Terry "Breaking Bad" McDonough attached to direct.
Original ITV producer Sandra Jobling will executive produce the new take through her Coastal Productions.
The original Wire, airing on ITV from 2002-2008, follows a clinical psychologist who teams with a female detective to solve crimes.
CBS Television Studios and DreamWorks will co-produce the project, which has reportedly been offered a script commitment

ITV recommissions 'Wild At Heart'

ITV has recommissioned Wild At Heart for a fifth series. The show, which launched in 2006, will return to ITV for a 10-episode run. It was previously feared that the programme could be axed after ITV cancelled dramas including Wire In The Blood and suspended production on Heartbeat and The Royal in a bid to cut costs.
