• This movie is based on a skit from the German comedy-show "Bullyparade" (1997).
  
  
• Claims to be the first democratically chosen movie. After the great success of Schuh des Manitu, Der (2001)'Michael "Bully" Herbig' let the viewers of his TV-show "Bullyparade" (1997) decide which subject his next movie should have. The viewers could choose between "Der Schuh des Manitu 2", "Sissi - Wechseljahre einer Kaiserin", "Ein Film, wo keiner mit rechnet" and "(T)Raumschiff Suprise".
  
  
• The title song "Space Taxi" and almost all other songs are written by Stefan Raab, host of "TV total" (1999) and comedian who has also had several chart hits in Germany.
  
  

• Had the most successful opening day of a movie in Germany ever.
  
  
• Til Schweiger agreed to play the part of Rock without seeing the script.
  
  
• The time machine's scheduled destination date is the movie's release date in Germany.
  
  
• The search for the TRaumschiff Surprise by Queen Metapha is a reference to the search used in Minority Report (2002).

• The "Flight Level Indicator" of Rock Fertig-Aus' Taxi is simply the case of a Tektronix 564B storage oscilloscope. The type name is still written on it. Some of the switches Rock changes during the chase scene are those for the seat heatings (he changes them to "cold").
  
  
• Mr. Spuck says that he sold the recipe of "Käsesahne" to McDonalds. When this movie opened in cinemas German McDonalds' sold "Käsesahne" for real and other items related to the movie.
