Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd is a father of a baby girl - his wife Alice Evans has given birth to the couple's first child.
The Welsh actor welcomed little Ella Betsi Evans Gruffudd into the world on 6 September. She weighed six pounds, three ounces (2.8 kilograms).
But the baby's sex didn't come as a shock for the couple - the pair knew they were expecting a little girl, but kept the news secret.
Gruffudd recently revealed how he is planning on having three kids - but his dream of his daughter being born in August like Evans came short by just a month.
He said, "I have my eyes on a brood of three. Ideally I would love a little daughter born in the same month as Alice, because then she would be this strong-headed, fun-loving young thing and it would be great to have two women with that kind of energy in the house." »

A few weeks ago, I called Sandra Bullock's rom-com, All About Steve, part of her comeback tour. Boy, did I get that wrong.
What I didn't know at the time was that All About Steve has been collecting shelf dust for two years, because the movie's financial backers didn't know what to do with it. After Bullock's stellar box office showing in The Proposal and Bradley Cooper's surprise success in The Hangover, the good folks who brought us Miss Congeniality 2 decided to go ahead and release Steve.
It came out Friday to the worst Rotten Tomatoes ratings I have ever seen in my life.
It was late afternoon on Friday before it moved past a zero percent approval rating.
Still, Steve brought in over 13 million dollars on opening weekend (though there is no record of how many people demanded their ten bucks back after the movie was over). So, »

The Clintons have had a very busy week. After returning home from North Korea, Bill Clinton had the time to appear at an event in Harlem promoting Zagat’s first-ever guide to Harlem restaurants. After leaving the Oval Office, Clinton set up his headquarters in the New York City neighborhood, where he has become one of the area’s most cherished residents. At the Zagat fête, President Clinton praised his wife Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 10-day, seven-nation tour of Africa, which included boogying in Kenya and her snapping at an unsuspecting Congolese student. He was mistranslated as having asked about her husband’s opinion on China, when he’d wanted Obama’s views. The highlight of Hillary Clinton’s trip must have been when former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton came up in a town-hall meeting. CNN’s Fareed Zakaria asked Hillary if Chelsea had considered the generous dowry »

While expressing an interest in becoming a mom - "just not during this tour" - Fergie has decided it is time to clean up her act and watch what she says on stage. "I wasn't trying to be a role model with The Dutchess," the Black Eyed Peas singer, 34, tells August's Marie Claire. Her change of heart - and vocabulary - came about after "seeing little girls in the audience with their moms. [It] made me think about what I do onstage a little bit more. I had to watch my mouth, because it can be filthy." It also turns out »

After three consecutive days of clouds, an anomaly in sunny California, the sun began to peak out behind the clouds just in time for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. The red carpet looked perfect, the press lined up like ducks in a row, and the celebrities began to flow like water down the long and narrow MTV Movie Awards red carpet. As Zac Efron strolled by, the crowd went wild with cheer only to be outdone when Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner hurried by on their way into the Gibson Amphitheater. Kellan Lutz and Brody Jenner stopped by the fans section to take pictures and sign autographs. One girl even showed Kellan her Twilight necklace wrapped around her neck that Kellan went on to say looked great. Yesterday, our red carpet adventure began by sharing our interviews with Robert Hoffman, Carter Jenkins and Peter Facinelli. Picture yourself along the red carpet »

Although he has done a couple of films already (The Wedding Date, The Great Buck Howard), perhaps your more familiar with Blake Neely's work on television series' like Jack and Bobby, Everwood or Eli Stone. Born and raised in Texas, Blake currently resides in La, doing music from the state-o-the-art Cow on the Wall studio. Blake is also one of the specialists to call on when you need music for a new pilot! Normally, I come away from a show with a critical eye towards issues or angles that distract me from the main plot, yet this seventh season of 24 and its finale came at us with a new sense of energy, focus and desperation that I don’t remember feeling before. I also found myself hating not one, but two characters from the show while being shown a side of Jack Bauer that I was not used to seeing. That was unique and somewhat disturbing.
This year we had no CTU and Jack had to work as a cooperative consultant for the FBI (imagine a consultant that’s one of the most dangerous men alive!). We did get to see some of our CTU favorites but in unique scenarios.
You’ll see why after the break, where the Spoilers are hiding. You’ve been warned.

Imitation in the the film industry is certainly not a new thing. The "killer asteroid" craze with Armageddon and Deep Impact facing off in the summer of '98; the dueling "president's daughter" films Chasing Liberty and First Daughter in 2004; the recent "organ repo" phase with last year's Repo! The Genetic Opera, and the upcoming Reposession Mambo (due later this year) - it's often times a race to see who can get to the finish line first.
Sometimes, "imitation" is purely a business-related affair, driven by corporate shills with no motivation other than getting in on the action to make a grab at a pie they think that they're missing out on. Bitter because they didn't get there first, often times these said "imitators" resort to blatant "copying", perhaps to play "catch up", or perhaps because they have no original ideas of their own. While the film industry is a prime »

Despite many reports, including her listing on IMDb's cast list for the film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon's recent press release naming its updated cast did not address the issue of whether Gianna has been cast and whether Justine Wachsberger was chosen for the part. Wachsberger, beauty in such films as First Daughter and Sorority Row was long-rumored to be selected for the role, and Summit Entertainment's press release for New Moon was expected to serve as the final word on its casting. However, the role of Gianna, the Volturi (human) secretary who sits at the desk of the very den of Volterra's Italian vampire leaders in the Twilight series appears in the book New Moon, and her role in the grand scheme of the Volturi way of things is rather confusing to Bella (played by Kristen Stewart) and un-surprising to Edward (played by Robert Pattinson). Put away the bridal magazines. Former First Daughter Barbara Bush is not planning to get married anytime soon, a source tells People. Despite reports that the Bush twin, 27, is going to marry her boyfriend Jaly Blount this summer, a Bush family source tells People there is no wedding in the works. "The story is absolutely not true," the source says. It's been nearly a year since Barbara's twin, Jenna, married Henry Hager in Texas last May. A spokesman in the Dallas offices of the former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush declined to comment on Barbara's rumored nuptials, »

The Easter Bunny couldn't hold a candle to Malia Obama at this year's White House Easter Egg Roll. When the microphone at Monday's event malfunctioned, the elder First Daughter remedied the situation. "I'd like to introduce Malia, my technical advisor,' " joked her father, President Obama. Then came the First Lady's warm welcome and rundown of the day's outdoor events, innocently interrupted by an inquiry from daughter Sasha, 7: "Tennis too?" While there would be no game, there was Fergie - who delivered a memorable version of the national anthem, prompting a huge hug from the president. What followed was »

According to IMDb Justine Wachsberger has been cast for the role of Gianna. Remember while IMDb has a wealth of information they do have their quirks and they have been wrong before with the cast list. There is no confirmation elsewhere that lists Justine for Gianna but as of yet this is the first weve heard any casting rumors for that particular role. Wachsberger has a short filmography list only having appeared in two movies prior. Back in 2004 she played a passing student in the movie First Daughter with Katie Holmes and Michael Keaton and most recently she appears in the upcoming film Sorority Row which happens to be a Summit movie. For those of you who dont recognize the character Gianna she is the human secretary who works for the Volturi hoping one day to be turned into a vampire herself.Check Justine Wachsberger out on IMDb here. Thanks »

We're not sure if 24 can realistically pull off an eighth season (though seven turned out to be better than expected, so...), but Fox is ploughing forward with it anyway, and to that end has announced that Anil Kapoor (Slumdog Millionaire) has been cast as a series regular for Season Eight. In his first American television role, Kapoor will play a Middle Eastern leader who comes to the U.S. on a peacemaking mission.
With more than 100 credits to his name, Kapoor is a Bollywood icon and one of India's most prominent actors. He has earned acclaim for his many award-winning performances over the last three decades, and recently appeared as game show host "Prem Kumar" in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

It will be some time yet before Malia and Sasha Obama are old enough to drive, but here's hoping they have more luck than Jenna Bush Hager. The former first daughter's Secret Service van was towed in Baltimore last week for unpaid tickets, The Washington Post's Reliable Source column has been reporting - at the same time raising the question of why the former White House resident still has a security detail two months after her father left office. For that, the paper found out, Hager can thank the current occupant of her former residence, President Obama. "There's a transition »

Is the president's surviving offspring not much of a momma's girl? Might she cause unnecessary headaches for the leader of the free world? Joan of Arcadia and Jericho alumna Sprague Grayden gave us a preview (well, what little she could!) of the story ahead. TVGuide.com: Were you a fan of 24 before you got this role?
Sprague Grayden: Yeah, I was, so I was very excited. I've been blessed to do so many different shows, but I've never done an action show, really. On Jericho, other people got to ride horses and shoot guns, but ...
