Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .

Sex & Nudity

A kiss.

Violence & Gore

Some violent/creepy themes including Russians killing Americans, and disrupting mummified corpses to find an Alien Skull made entirely of Crystal.

Some on-screen deaths, some off screen. The ones on-screen are somewhat rough.

The opening scene of the movie involves a group of Russians dressed like Americans killing a group of American soldiers....all of it is off-screen, but the next scene shows their dead bodies.

A group of Russian Soldiers kill Ancient Temple Guards (off-screen, but the bodies are shown)

One character is revealed to be working with both sides, and one character asks how many men had to die at his hands.

Lots of punching and kicking literally....some characters are shown bloody after a fight (but survive just fine).

Several scenes with knife and gun-play (but without almost any blood as a result of gun shots)

Some smaller children may not like the "ants" or the "aliens", and that the lead villain is killed by the Aliens as she explodes on-screen.. The ant scene is extremely creepy.

Some ancient dead bodies are shown, one man was well preserved and when the wrapping comes off...he disintegrates on-screen

Lots of jokes about dead bodies. In one scene Indy says "hold this" and throws a mummified corpse at his friend, a close up of the dead face is shown.

One of the villains is killed by a huge swarm of ants several inches long. They swarm in to his open mouth as he screams. They carry him across the ground and suck him head-first into a massive ant hill, still screaming. The ant sequence lasts a couple of minutes and could be quite disturbing for small children.

Another Russian soldier (the one travelling with Spalko) is covered head to toe with giant red ant's in a brief shot, we are to assume he died.

Profanity

One character says "bullshit" once, and minor words like "damn" and "ass" are used.

One or two uses of the word "shit".

Two or three uses of "bitch".

One character smokes cigars throughout the movie.

The Russian soldiers appear to be intoxicated in a scene in which they are all dancing around a fire.

Character attempts to steal (what appears to be) a bottle of beer at a diner, only to have his table companion return it to the server's tray.

The ending on-screen death is pretty sudden, though not gory, as the main villain disintegrates on-screen at the hands of a creepy-looking Alien.

The scene with the ants will freak some people out.

Several dead bodies are shown.

Lots of skeletons.

The opening scene in which guards are gunned down in cold blood may be upsetting and offensive.

In a graveyard, we see walking skeletons, but it turns out to just be guards in costumes.
