Review
The third season of the WB’s (now the CW) nighttime teen soap opera of bad decisions, raging hormones, jealousy, and emotional aggression finds the power-mongering would-be mogul Dan Scott (Paul Johansson) surviving a murder attempt and exacting his revenge. There's plenty of melodrama going on here -- half-brothers and basketball heroes (Chad Murray Mitchell and James Lafferty) trying to escape their manipulative father, a goth-inflected cheerleader (Hilarie Burton) confronting her dying birth mother, her party-girl best friend (Sophia Bush) facing down a manipulative new girl in school (Danneel Harris), a teen marriage on the rocks, a mayoral race against the mud-slinging Dan Scott, school violence, and the cold-blooded murder of a major cast member. Also stars Bethany Joy Lenz, Craig Sheffer, Barbara Alyn Woods, Lee Norris, and Barry Corbin.
