PC version. You start off as a young boy, from a royal bloodline with great mystical powers. When your village gets burnt down, and your father murdered, you must avenge their deaths. In the Heroes' Guild, you learn to fight and use the "will", which allows you to cast magic spells. This game is perfect (or nearly at least). I totally enjoyed it. The graphics are perfect, the music is great, the story is good. The gameplay is very simple. For the PC version, you must use a mouse and keyboard, it's not compatible with gamepads. There is a great amount of freedom in this. Although you are given many quests to complete, you are not expected to be good. You can be evil, you can kill innocent people, you can wreak havoc throughout villages, you can even choose to live a gay or bisexual lifestyle if you want to. There are many weapons and armour to be purchased and discovered, as well as many magic spells to be mastered. The only downside I saw in this game was the length. It just didn't seem very long to me at all. I would be ecstatic if Lionhead were to make another one. I didn't experience any glitches in this, it ran totally smoothly from beginning to end. My system is XP media center edition, 2 gigs ram, 1.6 ghz And dual core, and an ATI X1900. If you purchase this game, be sure to not start it unless you plan on playing for at least an hour or longer. The save option doesn't appear until after you've completed all of your guild training, and that could take a while.
