Trivia:
Around one hundred digital effects shots appear in the film, mostly to create gore. The scenes involving objects coming into direct contact with skin (like throat slitting, people getting shot in the head or neck, or stabbings) were created digitally. The violence that didn't involve direct skin contact (like people getting shot in areas covered by clothing) were achieved practically. Rob Zombie originally intended to create all of the special effects using only techniques available in the 1970s, but time constraints prevented this. moreGoofs:
Factual errors: The Chevrolet K5 Blazer that Wydell Drives is an '86 Model, but according to surroundings and other tell tale signs, the movie takes place in 1978. This can be proven when Officer Ray Mentions that Groucho Marx and Elvis Presley "died last year". moreQuotes:
[Wydell shoots Baby in the leg]Sheriff John Wydell: Oh man! I could hear that bone shatter all the way from here!

In "The house of 1000 Corpses" Rob Zombie introduced us an adorable family of psychos so influenced by Leatehrface and company. It was kind o an teenage-horror B-movie with touches of the trash culture. Now, if in "The house..." the victims were what the movie was about in "The devil's rejects" the protagonists are the executioners, that lovely family with the sexy Sheri Moon (Zombie's wife) in the lead fields.
So we learn new torture techniques, the blood gets up to our ankles, and the number of "f***" by second might have established a new Guinness record.
Is there any difference between "The house..." and "The devil's..". Well, it looks like Rob has learn a coup,e of things about filming in these years. He does not moves the camera like a madman anymore and there are not 1000 frames/second. Also, the soundtrack is full of the best southern rock.
Funny and loutish. Anyway, a movie that ends with Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free bird" can not be that bad!!
