Revealing mistakes: When the characters are looking in the High School Yearbook for a picture of Beau, his name is listed first in the column of names, indicating that his picture would be first in the row of pictures. However, his picture appears last in the row of pictures.
Continuity: When Sarah and Beau are sitting on his car overlooking the vineyard, Sarah's hair is alternately tucked/not tucked behind her ear.
Continuity: When Sarah is revealing the family secrets to Annie in Annie's bedroom, subsequent shots of Sarah show her hair alternating behind one ear, then hanging down on both sides, and back again.
Revealing mistakes: When Sarah and Jeff are walking through the airport you can see the scenery through Sarah's head for several seconds.
Crew or equipment visible: When Sarah and her fiancé are going up the escalator on their return to the elevator, there are reflections in the upper 25% of the frame.
Continuity: When Beau and Sarah have just finished their night, and they decide to get a cup of coffee, Sarah grabs the cup handle with her left hand, but when the camera goes up close, the cup handle is in her right.
Revealing mistakes: In the drive to the plane in Beau's Mercedes, the gear shift selector is in the park position.
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Sarah and Jeff are arguing at the ball, the sound and movement do not sync up.
Continuity: When Sarah and her father are in the kitchen, he sets a mug of tea in front of her. She reaches for the handle around the front of the mug, but then in the next shot, she's turning the mug from behind it.
Continuity: When Sarah Huttinger and Jeff Daly are in the bathroom of the plane, Sarah is sitting on the vanity/sink area and her arm jumps about between shots.
Continuity: When Sarah looks at her mother's picture in her bedroom, the pink 8-Ball "Date Ball" is to the picture's left, next to the stack of books. In the next shot, it's clearly moved to the shelf above the books. Returning to the close-up of the picture, it's next to the books again. Next shot, it's again up on the shelf.
Factual errors: When Sarah wakes up at Beau's house she asks him where they are, Beau says they are in Half Moon Bay, an hour south of the City. Half Moon Bay is actually only a half an hour away from San Francisco.
Factual errors: When Sarah is nearing her cab at the airport, there is a mix of yellow Ford Crown Victorias present, some of which feature the updated 1998 model design, which would not have been seen in January 1997. Additionally, when Sarah is getting into her cab, the camera view from the right front side suggests she is entering a 1998 or newer Crown Vic, but when we see her cab driving away, we see an older model.
Continuity: When Beau is telling Sarah he can't be her father his hand is on his leg. The next shot it's on his chin, then back on his leg again.
Continuity: When Sarah and Jeff have an argument near the end, you see Sarah go into the elevator with a jacket on. The scene goes to her crying in the elevator, no jacket.
Anachronisms: There is an ad for "World Cyber Games 2004" on a cable car when the date has been established as January 1997.
Anachronisms: As Beau and Sarah are standing out front of the conference center after their initial meeting a cable car passes through the frame with an advertisement for a 2005 model Samsung flip phone on it, despite the established time frame of January 1997.
Anachronisms: Jeff jokingly tells his fiancé, Sarah, that his family is like the movie "Titanic", and goes on to talk about nude sketches of himself - obviously a reference to Titanic (1997). The movie is set in January 1997, while Titanic wasn't released until December of that year.
Continuity: When Sarah is speaking with Katharine at home, her hairdo changes between the shots.
Anachronisms: Sara's fiancé jokes that they also had made a movie about his life, "Titanic". This was not released until December 1997 and this movie takes place in January. (He was not referring to an older Titanic movie since he mentions being drawn in the nude)
Plot holes: Sarah and Beau talks in front of the house in the end. She says that she is now 1 year older than her mother was when she died - which would make her mother 29 when she died, since she was in Cabo 30 years ago. So how could Sarah have been 9 years old when her mother died?
Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Sarah and Beau are in his plane going down the runway, as a pilot, Beau would be wearing a headset to communicate with the tower or with air traffic control, but he isn't. However if we assume he has a private airstrip there would be no tower and he may have chosen to put on his headset later.
Continuity: When Sarah meets Beau's 'son' Blake, Blake says he has just returned from Asia to his father. As Beau moves towards Sarah after this line, Blake can be seen behind Beau scratching his face. The shot moves to Sarah then back to Beau and the exact same shot of Blake scratching his face is used.
Continuity: When Sarah is talking to her sister when she first gets to the house for the wedding, her hand moves between being on her shoulder when the camera is on her back to her hands being crossed when the camera is facing her.
