• Production was delayed for over a month while Charlize Theron recuperated from a neck injury she sustained while slipping during stunt training. After the injury she still insisted on doing her own stunts, although she does have a stunt doubles clause in her contracts.

• SPOILER: The flower Cladius is handling when Aeon comes and confronts him about Una's death is a Rafflesia, and smells like rotten meat. Its local name translates into "corpse flower" and it is commonly found in southeast Asia. It is the official flower for Sabah, Malaysia.
