Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

Lots of violence, though there is rarely blood.

Many people are punched, stabbed, and shot. These scenes don't usually contain a lot of blood, though.

The ending sequence -SPOILERS- involves a large robot and many smaller ones and includes a lot of violence (no blood but a lot of flying robot parts).

There is a sword fight in black-and-white. At the end, one man is stabbed and a LOT of blood comes out (it appears black).

The violence in this film isn't usually very graphic, but the film as a whole has a lot of extremely harsh/disturbing themes. Not recommended for kids under 13.

Profanity

Infrequent mild swearing.

Possibly a couple casual drinks; nothing graphic or important to the plot.

This is a rather disturbing and intense film. There are many moral questions about the Neo-Sapiens and how they and the humans react and interact to each other.

There is one very sad sequence where the Neo-Sapiens are hiking in freezing mountains and they are crying and screaming while burying those who have died from hypothermia.

One extremely intense and disturbing sequence where the lead Neo-Sapien imagines himself as a human police officer, and he is forced to shoot a rebel who turns out to be his own mother.

Overall, there is a lot of emotional and moral conflict throughout. Unless the child in question is unusually mature, I would not recommend showing this film to kids under 13.
