A man says "he didn't call back" referring to that he is gay. A woman shows cleavage and her father tells her to "button up". A woman refers to her breasts as "the twins". A woman is seen sitting on man with her legs over him, where her father catches her with him and he says he wants it to be "G-rated" and the woman refers to sex as "that thing you think we want to do".

We watch a man drown: he twitches and thrashes, we hear him gagging and then he is still. A man holds onto the leg of another man who is held by another man, and they dangle in an elevator shaft; one person falls after being shaken off by another person, he is impaled on sharp objects far below and the elevator car falls through and crushes him causing a huge explosion. A man is in flames and runs around screaming. Flames blow through a passageway (it's a flash fire) and people are engulfed as they try to run away. A loose wire flips around, it touches a wet floor and several people are electrocuted (we see them jolt and thrash briefly). A man standing on a girder looks up to see a large piece of machinery falling toward him; the machinery hits him, taking him, and the girder, down. A woman swimming toward an opening is caught on loose wiring, she is pulled up into a beam, she cracks her head and is knocked unconscious (blood stains the water around her head), and she is pulled out of the water and a man performs CPR -- to no avail. Windows in a crowded ballroom shatter due to water pressure, water begins to push and pour through, people begin to run and scream, and we continue to hear screaming from another deck until everyone is dead. A man opens a hatch -- the air pressure created by spinning propellers forces the hatch to open very fast -- and he is hit in the face and his nose is broken (he ends up with a bloody face) and he falls off a platform. A man has a large gash on his leg and blood on his pants. A man pushes his way out from under dead bodies and he is wounded (his mouth and face are bloody). We see scenes of dead bodies with bloody wounds piled on top of each other. We see several scenes of badly burned and charred bodies after flash fires. We see many scenes of bodies floating in water. An enormous wave crashes down on a cruise ship, the ship tips on its side, people are thrown and fall from a great distance (we see several people presumably being killed). A tipped cruise ship capsizes, people are thrown, and we see a person crash out of a glass elevator. A boy is missing, his mother looks for him, and she finds him trapped in a storage cage as the water rises: they both are submerged, he is pulled down and she fears the worst but he is OK. Water rises into a vent shaft where people are climbing, one man becomes stuck in the shaft, another man is covered by the rising water, and they manage to push through and the submerged man surfaces gasping. Water pours into a passageway, and a woman is washed through and against a wall (she gags and gasps but is OK). A young man is pinned under fallen scaffolding and three people try to help him out, and they eventually manage to free him. Several people swim through passageways that are filled with water and appear trapped a few times. People in a raft paddle hard to avoid being crushed by a ship that tips toward them. People climb through an air vent shaft, and one woman is frightened and has to be forced to go. A man dives and swims under flames and surfaces uninjured. Three men place a long table across an elevator shaft so that they can walk to the other side, and one person slips and nearly falls. Several people in a ballast tank struggle to breathe as it fills with water, they are eventually forced under the water for what seems like a long time, until a hatch blows open and they flood out through the hole into another tank. A man pushes a gas tank through a hatch opening and it is sucked into a propeller causing an explosion (we think the man will be sucked into the propeller also but he is not). Several people climb across a girder high above churning water. A boy is trapped high in the air, a man tells him to jump into a curtain that he is holding, the boy jumps and is safe. A man climbs up on the railing of a ship preparing to jump off to kill himself (he is interrupted).

Anything in the "Violence and Gore" section could be considered intense. We see that Conor is stuck on an upside down piano that's bolted to the floor (now the ceiling). Robert then gets some men to hold up tablecloths or something similar and the boy jumps a decent distance down into it and is okay.
