After Zack makes fun of Vince when he asks if Amy's last name is Nordic, Vince says "Oh, he's quick with a joke or to light up your smoke," which is a line from Billy Joel's song, "Piano Man."

Goofs:

Continuity: After Zack gets his first gold star and a date with Amy, he goes home and talks to Iqbal on the phone before picking Amy up. Zack has significantly more facial hair while on the phone than he did that day in the store and more than he has when he's out with Amy later that evening.

Employee of the Month was terrible

One of the worst movies that I have ever seen. Obvious jokes, story line and lame setting. I don't think working at a store like that would even be as terrible as watching these actors portraying people doing it. Save yourself the time, buy a magazine with Jessica Simpson in it and you won't have to listen to her talk just to take a look at her. Also, I know Dane Cook is a very funny guy, I love his stand up comedy, but he should have took a second look at this movie script and backed out. He has got to be getting better offers than this. Hopefully this won't hurt his chances at other movies, maybe a supporting role for him would be better. In the end, in this movie I think you end up getting exactly what you were expecting, so if you like cheap laughs (very cheap) you may be able to finish this movie without hating yourself for months.
