• Continuity: When Paxton's fingers are sawed off, you could see three of them are actually taken off. When he looks at his hand to see the damage, three fingers are visible. It's as if only two fingers were sawed off.
  
  
• Factual errors: In Austrian main station, where Paxton follows the Dutch businessman to the restroom, there is a poster visible announcing a DVD. The sign says, "Jetz auch am DVD" which roughly translates to "Now at the DVD". The correct German phrase would be "Jetzt auch auf DVD".
  
  
• Continuity: When Paxton is handcuffed to the chair and his torturer grabs the three-pronged metal pole, Paxton is shown with bloody hole marks on his shirt. Then it shows the guy holding the rod, then hitting Paxton twice, then the shot goes back to Paxton and the bloody holes are there. The holes were added and filmed before the torturer hit him.
  
  

• Factual errors: When the bad guy walks into the toilet at the end, all signs should be in German. Right above the walkway is a sign that says "Kabinky" which is Czech and Slovak.
  
  
• Continuity: The clock at the train station, where the suicide of the girl takes place, jumps between 1pm and 5pm.
  
  
• Continuity: In the scene with the torture of the "American" character, we can see the man inflicting the torture is visibly uncomfortable. At one point, he removes his face mask from his left ear, but the right ear remains on. Moments later, he's seen in the reflection of the mirror replacing the strap on the right ear, as it hangs from his left.
  
  
• Continuity: When the one street kid throws a stone onto the man's head from the window you can see blood on his head before the stone hits him.
  
  
• Factual errors: There is no slack in the human optic nerve and so it is impossible for the Asian girl's eye to protrude in the way shown.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: At the railroad station in Germany stands as an advertising "Neu am DVD" but grammaticality right it must be "Neu auf DVD".
  
  
• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): Alex, when showing pictures of the girls says that because of the war there are no guys in Slovakia. There has in fact been no war in Slovakia since WWII.
  
  

• Continuity: SPOILER: At the end of the movie when Paxton is walking down the stairs at the train station, a woman in a short white shirt and short sandy blonde hair is walking down with him on his left-hand side. In the next shot, the same woman is walking back up the stairs on his right-hand side.
