dark, creepy, and plausible

A French couple living in Romania, in an isolated house, are in bed sleeping when the woman is awakened to music. Upon investigation she sees her car has been moved & wakes her husband to come and see. What begins then is a spooky cat and mouse game with unseen assailants, that seem to generate odd noises and seem to want to cause this couple harm. They live in a huge old house so there's plenty of places to run and also plenty of places to hide, both for them and for whoever (or WHATEVER) has gotten into their home. The electricity has been cut off, the phone isn't working, and they are obviously terrified by something they can't see. This is a dark and intense film, one that grabs your interest and keeps it right up to the end. When it's revealed who and what the attackers are, it becomes even more strange. This has a relatively short run time (77 minutes) but one gets their money's worth in watching it. Kind of a change from the "usual" torture and gore films that are so prominent today but a good change. Well done and worth seeing, 8 out of 10.
