Plot:

Very little of the movie was actually shot on green screen. Instead, director John Moore opted to shoot in Toronto during the night, in order to add extra reality to his actors' reactions.

Goofs:

Factual errors: The NYPD forensic examiners' jackets have "CSI" on them. The NYPD forensics department is called the Crime Scene Unit, so the jackets should say "CSU".

A paynefull experience

As always I try to keep it short. I'm a really easy customer to please and I always try to see films in their context. That's why movies like Max Payne usually work as entertainment even if they aren't exceptional works of art. But gee, this film makes me cry blood.

I get the feeling the director has done a bunch of cool music videos before but he doesn't seem to have a clue about the actual game, it's atmosphere and the routine of making a full length film. I was bored and I found amazing trouble watching the entire movie through.

The story is ridiculous and the way some characters over act is humorous. Do human kind a favor and donate the 8 dollars you were going to spend on the movie tickets on something productive.
