There is something fun about watching time travel movies, especially when well written and structured. The device of showing you something slightly confusing, only to explain it later via a bit of time travel, makes for stimulating viewing.
Time Crimes is essentially this, over and over. You watch the same time period a few times, each time from a different 'time line' allowing you to understand why things are happening. However, its not as fun as it sounds. Beyond the pleasure of 'getting whats going on', the film offers little else. The main actor is unlikeable, his actions aren't justified or credibly motivated, and the plot doesn't make any sense whatsoever when you stand back from it. This is what distracted me most.
If you like this sort of film, I thoroughly recommend the far superior Primer.
