Wanted (2008) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

2 sex scenes, both depict the main character's girlfriend cheating on him. The scenes are quite similar; a man is shown with his pants around his ankles, his buttocks are shown and he is thrusting between a woman's outspread legs. The woman is partly clad. You see Fox's buttocks as she rises out of a tub.

Violence & Gore

A theme of the movie is that an office worker becomes a professional assassin, killing who his boss tells him too.

A man in an office boardroom is shot from outside. A man in an armoured limo is shot from above. A man invades a building full of adversaries and shoots, explodes and kills many of them,

Several graphic "headshots" and body shots throughout the movie with blood flying everywhere...all of these done in Super Slow Motion and freeze frame.

A man is hit in the face with a computer keyboard.

When Wes learns how to fight with the butcher he gets cut up several times, with graphic knife wounds

The Repairman graphically continues to beat Wes untill he is unconscious. His face and clothes are stained red with blood.

Off-screen a killer lights a man on fire, but on screen he is burning alive as a little 8-year-old girl watches (more emotional and disturbing than violent).

The Butcher's pole gets jammed in Wes gun, and he shoots the pole into the Butchers chest. Wes kicks the pole further into the chest so that sticks out from the other side of the butcher's body.

A passenger train full of people is derailed from a high mountain bridge. A car crashes into a bus and causes it to fall over. Two characters have a gunfight in a crowded supermarket. In a chase sequence characters have moving gunfight between vehicles.

Profanity

Nearly 50 uses of the 'f' word, and around 30 uses of the 's' word.

A scene involves human corpses hanging from a ceiling for target practice. Very suprisingly brutal beating.

A victim's head is impaled on a pistol and the shooter uses the body as a shield as he continues to shoot through the head.
