Josh Brolin may play play some pretty tough characters on film, but he’s got a tender side too -- especially when it comes to his wife of one year, Kathryn Boyd.

The 49-year-old actor sat down with Et’s Nischelle Turner earlier this month to chat about his new film, Only the Brave, and how he manages to stay in such good shape for his roles.

The film, which tells the story of a group of elite firefighters battling the devastating 2013 Yarnell Fire in Arizona, required a completely different kind of fitness to another of Brolin's upcoming movies, Deadpool 2.

“[It’s a] different shape. Totally different,” Brolin said. “Firefighting was very interior and Deadpool was very exterior.”

The actor has been sharing videos of his intense workouts on Instagram, giving a glimpse into what it takes to achieve that body.

The New Golden Age of Studio Science-Fiction is Upon Us

19 October 2017 8:30 AM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Blade Runner 2049” is going to struggle to make it past the $100 million mark at the domestic box office, hardly the response Warner Bros. was looking for given the film’s estimated $300 million production and marketing budget. In a way, the odds were always against “2049” given that its predecessor was also a financial disappointment and only went on to become a cult classic with a very specific demographic of moviegoers. “Blade Runner” is no multi-generational favorite a la “Star Wars” or “Jurassic Park.”

But while the sequel is a box office dud, it’s unquestionably a huge step in the right direction for studio filmmaking.

Friday the 13th Part III 3D review: Jason stalks and slashes his victims in the third dimension in this one-off screening at Mayhem Film Festival.

Friday the 13th Part III 3D review by Kat Hughes.

Friday the 13th Part III 3D Review

The 1980’s was a glorious time for the horror genre. With the rise of the mighty VHS it was so very easy to get your horrific content out into the world, so much so that we were gifted the ‘video nasty’ of cinema. At the same time, 3D was taking cinemas by storm, it would go on to be a flash-in-the-pan craze that would die until James Cameron’s Avatar. It comes as no surprise then that many films sought to combine horror and 3D, one such film is Friday the 13th Part 3.

The third film (obviously) in the franchise gave the new technology a whirl, and »

Giovanni Ribisi latest actor to return to the Avatar sequels

Giovanni Ribisi to Continue Hoarding Unobtanium in ‘The Avatar Sequels’

While production is finally underway on The Avatar Sequels, the cast for the four new films continues to grow. Per Deadline, Giovanni Ribisi is set to reprise his role as Rda administrator Parker Selfridge in all four Avatar sequels, which should come as welcome news to unobtanium fans around the globe. Indeed, Ribisi’s character is most famous for hoarding the oh-so-on-the-nose element in 2009’s Avatar, which served as the driving force behind Rda’s drilling on Pandora. So I guess there’s more unobtanium to be found, or perhaps Selfridge has another skeezy business … »

3 horror movies that could be considered 'impressive'

11 October 2017 8:00 PM, PDT | MoreHorror | See recent MoreHorror news »

What Horror Movie Impressed You The Most (In Any Way)?

Movies, in general, are classified as being in "the top" based on how much money they make. By this standard, James Cameron's "Avatar" is the highest-grossing movie ever, with gross revenues in excess of $2.7 billion worldwide. But was it the best movie ever made?

Well, that's a completely different story - as revenue doesn't necessarily mean value. Thus, most list containing the top 5 horror movies of all time will contain films that were massively successful - think teen slashers like Scream or supernatural found-footage flicks like Paranormal Activity. But this also doesn't necessarily mean that they were the best horror movies ever made.

Instead of counting money, remakes, viewers, or sequels, let's take a look at horror movies from a different point of view: how impressive they were. How scary or pressing, how gross, how gruesome they were. And »

Kate Winslet is joining the Avatar cast. The Oscar-winning actress is reuniting with her former Titanic director James Cameron for the upcoming Avatar sequels. Cameron told Deadline of the reunion, "Kate and I have been looking for something to do together for 20 years, since our collaboration on Titanic, which was one of the most rewarding of my career. I can't wait to see her bring the character of Ronal to life." While the reunion might seem very exciting from the outside, it might be pretty shocking to those who remember Winslet's comments about working with the director on Titanic.
