Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this new feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes .
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

There is no frontal nudity in this movie. There is a shower room scene that is all men (firefighters) and it shows guys' butts. Several guys' butts can be seen in a calendar as they strike suggestive poses. That is the only nudity.

Then, there is a scene where Jessica Biel is in her bra and underwear and Adam Sandler puts his hands on her chest because she, thinking he is gay, asks him to feel her breasts to prove that they are real.

Another scene has several ladies (we later learn that many are strippers) wearing revealing clothing and striking provocative poses.

The movie has almost non-stop innuendos and sex jokes, both gay and heterosexual.

Violence & Gore

There are a couple of fistfights, but they are played for laughs.

Profanity

They use a few mild profanities and the S-word a few times. 1 F-word is used.

Over the course of the film, several characters are either drinking or are seen with a drink in their hands. One character briefly smokes a cigar.

The film does accurately portray the dangers of firefighting. A scene involving a collapsing building comes into play and may give sensitive people to these situations a fright.
