Things are apparently getting serious between Sienna Miller and her ex-fiance Jude Law. On Friday afternoon, December 4, the 27-year-old beauty was spotted once again paying a visit to the "My Blueberry Nights" star's pad in New York.
At that time, Sienna, who was accompanied by her pooch Bess, was seen knocking at the apartment's door. Later in the evening, she and Jude were photographed going out from the pad and heading to their respective Broadway shows. Trying to avoid the paparazzi, the two left the apartment separately.
Three days before these photos were outed, Sienna was also caught leaving Jude's apartment. The actress appeared to be in a rush since she was snapped running to a waiting car.
Sienna Miller and Jude Law got engaged on the Christmas Day of 2004. Unfortunately, in November 2006, the two called off their engagement after he was caught having an affair with his children's nanny. »

Brothers, featuring Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire, is one very highly-anticipated movie. Based on Susanne Bier's "Brødre", a young man (Gyllenhaal) comforts his older brother's wife (Portman) and children after he goes missing in Afghanistan. I'm pretty sure the lead actors will try to get a shot at the Oscars come nomination time...

In the meantime, the buzz on Portman continues... the latest of which is a feature at Interview magazine:
Gyllenhaal: Your affection for dirty rap is something that people really don’t know about you, which I think is fascinating. You do incredible things for the world, and then you listen to just completely obscene hip-hop music.
Portman: Really, really obscene hip-hop. I love it so much. It makes me laugh and then it makes me want to dance. Those are like my two favorite things, so combined . . . I »

After a series of quiet dramas, elaborate martial arts epics, and quite possibly the most opulent Olympic ceremonies in recent history, what could mainland Chinese director Zhang Yimou possibly do for an encore?
How about remaking the Coen Brothers neo-noir classic Blood Simple? Twitch reports Yimou is currently shooting San Qiang Pai An Jing Qi, which translates to "The Stunning Case of the Three Gun Shots", and that the film is a remake of the Coens' 1984 debut.
Blood Simple told the story of a hired hit spun out of control, and features one of the most suspenseful final half-hours in American cinematic history. The Coens themselves revisited the film — which helped launch the careers of the brothers and lead actress Frances McDormand — in 2001 for a director's cut. Now it appears time for Yimou, famous internationally for Chinese-language pics Raise the Red Lantern, Hero and House of Flying Daggers, to give it his own spin. »

"Up," the wonderful film from Disney/Pixar kicked off the Cannes Film Festival!
I love this film, and I'll post my review and interviews with the cast and crew soon.
And it's a fitting opening film for the Cannes Film Fest. I just wished I was there in France, but I have to stay put in the Us because it's the super-important May sweeps in TV right now.
But here's a full Cannes report from Variety:
Cannes -- Despite fretful rumors about attendance, market biz and la grippe porcine (swine flu), the 62nd Cannes Film Festival got off to a high-flying start with "Up," the Disney-Pixar toon that brought fun -- a word not often associated with film fests -- to the Croisette.
The usual red-carpet pomp, including umpteen gendarmes and paparazzi, was augmented by an army of little ballerinas in white tutus lining the steps.
The evening opened with a half-hour presentation, »
