Trivia

The comedian/actor Eddie Griffin destroyed a rare million-dollar Enzo Ferrari (which belonged to the film's producer, Daniel Sadek) on Monday 3/26/07, when he crashed it into a barricade while promoting this movie. He was unhurt in the low-speed incident, at Irwindale Speedway, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles. He was practicing for a celebrity charity racing event tied to this upcoming film, causing $300,000 damage to the car (including labor and parts). Sadek estimated that the car was worth $1.1 million, and said he was just happy that Griffin was unharmed. See more »

Goofs

The scene where Carlos ride to his revenge mission in a Ducati 999, the engine noise that can be heard coming out is an inline 4. The 999 uses a L-Twin, which make a different noise to Carlos' sportsbike in the film. Ducatis have never used an I4 engine in their R Motorcycles, only V twins, L twins and a V4 (Desmosedici). An "inexperienced ear" might think the sound from the scene is even from an I3 (as used in Daytona 675) or V4 (Desmo, Aprilia 2009) but it is an I4. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Natasha Martin: There are cars that get you from point A to point B. And then there are cars that get you from point A to point B really fast. Fast cars cost big money, and with millions of dollars at stake, there are people who'll do anything to win. People who take risks and never play it safe.

Redline is Awful
16 April 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Whoever wrote up "Redline" as a great car movie must be getting paid off by Daniel Sadek to promote this ultra crappy flaming, steaming pile of amateur crap. Easily the worst automotive movie or any movie ever made. This makes Showgirls look like Citizen Kane.

Take every cheesy cliché out of an 80s action TV series, put in some really crappy special effects and lame characters with no relevance and you have living proof that Daniel Sadek should not write screenplays and produce movies but should remain in the real estate business.

This is such a lame movie with such a lame plot and the most contrived action sequences ever. What offends me is not that the makers of this film are idiots but that they consider the movie going public to be idiots enough to fall for this crap.
