In the context of the movie, the process of Mike and Jerry's efforts to recreate their erased videos is called "sweding". The tapes are described as having come from Sweden as an excuse for higher rental fees and longer wait times. Jerry fabricated the word "sweding" while arguing with a customer.

Stormy Weather

At the beginning of the film, they mention the power plant controlling their brains and that Jerry [Jack Black]'s brain was being fried by the microwaves, so Jerry makes them wear the helmets to protect their brains.
