Did You Know?

Petty Officer Rooney, who helps Jack board the sub, refers to a corridor on the submarine as a "hall," as in hallway. This term would never be used on a ship or boat, no less by a Navy seaman. The correct term is "passageway." See more »

Jack Bauer: [Phone Conversation] Yeah?
Mike Novick: The President has just notified Secret Service he's going to be delayed.
Jack Bauer: How long?
Mike Novick: He didn't say, but Mrs. Logan knows we need as much time as possible. Jack... if Logan doesn't confess... how far are you actually willing to go?
Jack Bauer: As far as I have to.

Resolution takes shape

With how the action is staged, it's easy to confuse this for the season finale rather than the penultimate hour. Bauer and Henderson lead an assault on the hijacked navy sub, and the camera-work and editing are superb. And when all is said and done, Bierko and Henderson are dead (it's only half over!) leaving only Logan as a loose end. Jack goes completely rogue; and with Aaron and Mike's help, he sneaks onto the president's compound. Jacks gong to get his confession even if he has to beat it out of him. We all know that that's coming, and the tension mounts.

And with that, we move on to the final hour; and it's a stunner.

I have to admit that I was a little sorry to see Peter Weller go. He was an integral part of the season.
