- Crew or equipment visible: In the subway car at the opening of the film (approx 00:02:20), a ladder is visible through the left window, highlighting the use of a set and studio.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): How can a person talk when he was struck with a bone in his throat?
- Continuity: After Leon has his tongue ripped off, you can see the tongue intact in his mouth.
- Crew or equipment visible: When Maya is searching through Mahogany's bathroom, at one point the white t-shirt of a crew member is visible in the mirror.
- Anachronisms: When Leon is showing Maya the newspaper article dated December 19, 1895, a closeup of the newspaper shows a column of copy containing the words, "bikini-clad babes and tanned hunks". Putting aside the unlikelihood of that style of news-writing in 1895, the term "bikini", as regards clothing, was not coined until the mid-1940's.
