It was 2007 and Olivia Wilde had just been cast as a bisexual doc on "House," a juicy role on a hit show following a run on the short-lived NBC series "The Black Donnellys" and another bisexual turn on "The O.C." The job was a huge break for the actress — it would lead to a vastly raised public profile and the top spot in the Maxim Hot 100 — but the new work also came at a tricky time: She was about to start filming "Fix," a movie she couldn't exactly bail on considering her husband, Tao Ruspoli, was the director.

HBO’s ‘The Pacific’ Trailer

18 November 2009 11:43 AM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

HBO is bringing us The Pacific, a WWII story of what went down in the Pacific while the men from Band of Brothers were fighting in Europe.

The series is based on the memoirs of Eugene Sledge and Robert Leckie, both of whom were Marines that served in the Pacific Theater of Operations.  It was produced by (you guessed it) Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks (both of whom produced BoB) and Gary Goetzman (producer of Charlie Wilson’s War).

Joseph Mazzello and James Badge Dale have tackled the roles of Sledge and Leckie, respectively.  John Seda rounds out the lead parts playing Sergeant John Basilone.  Mazzello played the little boy in Jurassic Park (!) all those years ago, Dale popped up in The Departed and The Black Donnellys and Seda’s a former boxer who appeared in Twelve Monkeys and more recently, Bad Boys II.

Here’s the trailer for The Pacific. »

Chicago – Maxim released their annual Hot 100 this week and made a surprising choice for their #1 slot, choosing “House” star Olivia Wilde over the popular favorite, Megan Fox of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.

Maxim’s Editor in Chief, Joe Levy, said, as quoted by NBC, “Olivia Wilde has been the sexiest woman on television since she heated up ‘The O.C.’ five years ago. She’s smart, she’s beautiful, and she has dual citizenship in the Us and Ireland - what more can a man ask for?”

Olivia Wilde currently stars as ‘Thirteen’ on Fox’s “House” and is also filming the highly-anticipated “Tron 2.0”. She will next be seen in this summer’s comedy “Year One” with Jack Black and Michael Cera. Previous credits include “The Black Donnellys,” “Turistas,” “Alpha Dog,” “The O.C.,” and “The Girl Next Door”.

Maxim Magazine’s Hot 100 with Megan Fox, Olivia Wilde, Eliza Dushku and more

12 May 2009 9:19 AM, PDT | The Cinema Post | See recent The Cinema Post news »

This year’s Number One is Olivia Wilde. Personally, we like this choice a lot. Olivia has certainly moved on to a much more successful and interesting role in “House M.D.” since her days on “The O.C.”, but we think her best role so far was in the tragically canceled “The Black Donnellys” which was created by Oscar Winner Paul Haggis.

Unsurprisingly, Megan Fox landed at Number 2, but frankly we can’t take any list seriously that would have Jessica Biel at 11, and 77 other women Below Lindsay Lohan. How is that even possible?

We have the full list below, but if you head on over to Ontd, you’ll find an image of every single woman on this list, scanned from the magazine.

You can subscribe to Maxim in The U.S. here, and The U.K. here.

2 - Megan Fox
