Trivia:
At least 3 versions of the pilot episode were produced. The first version had Mae Whitman cast as Jaime's deaf sister, a character that sparked criticism from hearing-impaired rights groups when it was learned the actress wasn't deaf in real life. This version of the pilot was one of several widely circulated on the Internet during the summer of 2007; at the 2007 San Diego Comic Con, an edited-down, half-hour version of this pilot was shown to audience members as a preview of the new series. For broadcast, however, several scenes were filmed, and the cast changed with a new actress playing Jaime's sister, and the hearing-impaired subplot being eliminated. moreFAQ

The directing of Bionic Woman is just plain unwatchable, which is not surprising considering it's from the producers of the equally badly-filmed Battlestar Galactica and on the network that brought us the shaky camera of Friday Night Lights and The Office.
Still it's a shame. NBC spent tens of millions making and promoting this show and the camera-work makes it impossible to enjoy.
Not that there's much to enjoy. Michelle Ryan has to be one of the most wooden actresses given a lead part, and the writing is equally abysmal.
And the special effects are not an improvement over the effects of 30 years ago and look like they're straight out of an animated show.
Hopefully, this will crash and burn and take the development team that brought it down with it. Then NBC might have a chance to come back and be a network again because right now, it's the punchline for a joke.
