'The Big Bang Theory' Takes on "The Barbarian Sublimation" Tonight

6 October 2008 12:00 AM, PDT | From buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news

Last week on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory, we saw Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) end their relationship, while Leslie Winkle (Sarah Gilbert) made a move on Leonard and proposed to revisit their relationship.  Leonard on the other hand, sent Sheldon (Jim Parsons) out of the apartment so that he could have some private time with Leslie, whom Sheldon doesn’t like.  Penny returned in time to see Leonard and Leslie and they both fueled the fire of jealousy by making out with their respective partners.

Tonight on The Big Bang Theory, antics ensue as Sheldon introduces Penny to online gaming.

Created and executively produced by Chuck Lorre and Billy Prady, The Big Bang Theory follows two exceptionally smart physicists Leonard and Sheldon, who live across the hall from blonde bombshell Penny.  The show is one of today’s most successful sitcoms and stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco.

Fox says 'Terminator' not Dead Yet

5 October 2008 5:27 PM, PDT | From Comicmix.com | See recent Comicmix news

We were among the many sites to report that low ratings may kill Sarah Connor long before a T-1000 gets to complete the mission. To be far, we should also be reporting that Fox is scoffing at the reports.

"The rumors are all speculative and never fact checked with the network or studio," a rep told i09.

The Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles has received okay reviews but the ratings are down to under 6 million viewers which usually bring about a pink slip.  The production continues to chug along, fulfilling their order for 13 episodes.

The competition, Mondays at 8 p.m. is quite fierce as they oppose popular sitcoms The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother on CBS, Chuck on NBC, Dancing with the Stars on ABC and Monday Night Football on Espn.

'Sex' and the Sequel?

10 July 2008 10:25 PM, PDT | From GetTheBigPicture.net | See recent Get The Big Picture news

Though its box office performance clearly dwindled after its opening weekend - and to be honest, that trend started in its second day of release - HBO's Sex and the City may come back to the big screen.

At the Television Critics Association press tour, a grueling array of interviews and free food that lasts three weeks while journalists try to ask interesting and interested questions of the cast from Big Bang Theory, HBO's West Coast president of programming Michael Lombardo wasn't bashful about the intentions for a sequel.

"There is enormous interest by Warner Bros. and New Line to do another Sex and the City and I think in fact they're trying to put that together now," said Lombardo according to an IGN report, adding, "when that happens or how long [it would take], I can't say. But there's tremendous interest."

I have an idea for the sequel, should it transpire. Hang

Britney Spears meets Barney, plus much more on 'How I Met Your Mother'

13 March 2008 5:54 PM, PDT | From Watcher | See recent Watcher news

There's stuntcasting. Then there's Britney-casting.

The worthy comedy “How I Met Your Mother” isn’t usually a font of gossip headlines, but last week the show, which returns 7:30 p.m. Monday on Wbbm-Ch. 2, pulled off a surprising coup.

What put the tabloid world in a tizzy was the news that Britney Spears would make a guest appearance on “Himym.” Her agent approached the show about her taking on a role, and her appearance came together quickly. She's taping her episode this week and will appear as a receptionist in an episode that airs March 24.

“She’s been hardworking and has really brought her own approach to the character,” executive producer Craig Thomas said midway through the taping of her episode. “She has solid comic timing.”

(Update: At right is the first picture of Britney Spears as Abby and Sarah Chalke as Dr. Stella Zinman in the March 24 episode of "How I Met Your Mother.
