Another Bad Show from Josh Schwartz

I was shocked upon watching the first promos for Chuck. They were so sophomoric (sorry for the insult to intelligent sophomores!) and unfunny, I could not believe how awful this show looked.

Well, on further examination of the show, it's just as bad as the previews let us believe.

Chuck is over-the-top, yet completely unfunny and without the slightest trace of dramatic interest.

It's not all that surprising given that it comes from Josh Schwartz whose dubious claim to fame is the vacuous The O.C. and who has also created the equally vacuous Gossip Girl.

Given that none of those shows have ever been hits, it makes you wonder what is wrong with Hollywood to keep ordering shows from the same bad creator.
