Trivia:
In the beginning character generation tutorial, the player is given a sweetroll and then is challenged for it. This is a reference to Bethesda's early character generation system which asked a series of questions, including: "While in town the baker gives you a sweetroll. Delighted you take it into an alley to enjoy, only to be intercepted by a gang of three other kids your age. The leader demands the sweetroll, or else he and his friends will beat you and take it." The 'baker', Old Lady Palmer, and the 'three other kids your age', Butch and his friends, happen to be sitting at adjacent booths. moreSoundtrack:

Many people who bought fallout 3 where expecting a proper sequel to fallout 1 and 2. I have not played either but i definitely was not disappointed with fallout 3
firstly the VATS are amazing and work well all the time (and do not make everything terribly easy because you have to gain attack points)and fallout 3 also has good first person shooting mechanics.
a brilliant world to roam around and lots of places to visit. personally i like visiting the vaults with crazy people in them XD.
you can also choose whether you are good or evil and this also works well. one bad thing is that people can get annoyed about very small things like steeling noodles or taking a pencil.
still a brilliant game 10/10
