I cannot stand this show! Has there ever been even one redeeming quality, one funny punchline, or one plot line that "didn't" make the average viewer want to drown himself in a bowl of soggy cornflakes? Arrgh! The voices. Oh, those horrible, wretched voices. Akin to repeatedly dragging a set of fine cutlery across a dusty blackboard, each character is uniquely annoying in his or her aptitude for shrill, nasal vocals. Slog sounds like a whining mongrel, Sheep Donoa sounds like a stereotypical shrew, and Lok makes every line sound like a bad impersonation of a game show host (Winzor from "My Gym Parter's a Monkey" comes to mind).
The animation is awful; even the producers of "Bleach" laugh at the overwhelmingly bad artwork on this show. Every character has buck teeth, or a spongy head, or a head three sizes too big for his or her body. And what's with having the characters speak every single line wide-eyed and grinning, as though posing for a photo op with the president? Then, there is the fact that every character on the show is completely moronic. Not since the subtle grace of Arthur, Baby Taz, and Baby Slvester of "Baby Looney Tunes" fame have characters been portrayed as so unrealistically dumb. Usually "unrealistic" is synonymous with "unfunny", and that is most definitely the case here. There hasn't been this much slapstick based on lawlessness since "Shark Tale"...and at least Mr. Lawrance was good at it.
If the system would let us rank TV shows, "Tak & The Power of Juju" would receive a "negative five": a zero for what the show is actually worth, and an additional loss of 5 more points because even my little brother grew disgusted with it after only two weeks of near constant viewing. The good news there is that I no longer have to hear or see the show...but the bad news is that I remain deeply traumatized by the experience and face years, perhaps decades, of intense therapy in the hopes that I will one day make a full recovery. I'll admit that, as of now, that prospect appears slim. In fact, even thinking about it as I type...
...the voices are back again! Slog, SHeep Donoa, Lok!!! Make it stop: in the name of all that is good and decent, make it stop!!! Horrible crap This is an horrible crap, with poor drawings and not so much humor. I think Rocko's Modern Life is a loooooooooot better than this terrible and infamous cartoon. I don't like to watch that poor animation or poor Voice-Acting, I recently saw an episode and I couldn't stand it. It didn't made me laugh a bit, I was not pleased to see this so called "classic", which every American loved when kid. And in the place I live nobody liked it more than Rocko. And Rocko has less score because many persons think he is weird and hates him, but no one hates Tak. Disagree all you want I don't care a bit! Because definitely is not good at all. I don't like this thing.
