I love movies that raise questions, and present the audience with a challenge, and Triangle definitely does that. Initially, it seems to be a fairly straightforward (spooky?) film about a group of people who are stranded at sea and seek refuge on a seemingly deserted ship, but as the action progresses a much more complex story unfolds.The pale colour tones add to the dreamlike, surreal nature of the story, and Melissa George gives a great performance as a tormented mother trying to make sense of what is happening, and whose only desire is to get back home to her son.This is a movie that will certainly get you thinking, and one that will repay re-watching many times. One of the best films I've seen this year.
