This is a surprise ending so I won't spoil it by giving anything away. It's kind of a sad story, anyway, but drawn so well that that alone should keep you interested.
"The Man Who Slept" is the English title to this short film, which lasts about a dozen minutes. I saw it on the Blu-Ray edition of "Animated Express."
"Vibrantly textured" is a description often used in describing this animated film, drawn in a sepia-type color.
The presentation was by Ines Sedan, a mid-30s Argentine lady who has lived in France since 1999.
