Good acting / good camera-work / bas story

Having high expectations for this one, yesterday I settles on the couch for a night of Western experience. I liked the movie, but that says more about me than about the movie :-)

The acting in this movie by Sam Shepard is good and is worth watching. The location is also great. The story is bad though: there is no point in the whole story. No explanation what so ever, illogical behavior, shallow characters . . . and that is sad, because this movie is about a concept that was very promising.

What is missing is a purpose and a point of change: because of that the movie is just flowing on without any real interesting moments.

The teaming up with Eduardo is not something one would expect Butch Cassidy to do: why would he act so nice to a guy who tried to shoot and rob him?!

The flashbacks are hard to understand and the connection with the main storyline is not always clear.
