Vision Vehicle Productions
has sold worldwide rights to its faith-based movie “Pass the Light
” and its comedy “Construction
” to Carmike’s DigiNext platform.
Both films will be released theatrically and downstream early next year through DigiNext, which has been used to release alternative content such as documentaries and independent features. Carmike bought DigiNext owner Digiplex
in Mayacquiring 200 screens across 21 theaters in a deal worth north of $45 million.

told Variety that access to the Carmike chain — the nation’s fourth largest with 2,600 screens — will give alternative content a much bigger footprint.
