Storyline

P. K. is a comedy of ideas about a stranger in the city, who asks questions that no one has asked before. They are innocent, child-like questions, but they bring about catastrophic answers. People who are set in their ways for generations, are forced to reappraise their world when they see it from PK's innocent eyes. In the process PK makes loyal friends and powerful foes. Mends broken lives and angers the establishment. P. K.'s childlike curiosity transforms into a spiritual odyssey for him and millions of others. The film is an ambitious and uniquely original exploration of complex philosophies. It is also a simple and humane tale of love, laughter and letting-go. Finally, it is a moving saga about a friendship between strangers from worlds apart. Written by Abhijat Joshi

Goofs

In one of the scenes, an elderly person asks PK for Rs 500 as he was Rs 500 short for the treatment of his wife. PK gives him Rs 500 plus Rs 100 for tip. In previous scene in temple, when Jagat Janani's money was taken away by temple's priest, Pk offered her Rs 200 which he had taken out from temple's charity box and also said that he had no more money, while pulling out to show his empty pockets. So if PK had only Rs 200 at that time then he could not have lent Rs 600 (500+100) later. See more »

Aamir's best performance till date.. again.. and again...
19 December 2014 | by (India) – See all my reviews

I don't know whether most of the people actually knew the plot, but surprisingly I did, somehow some brilliant guy about an year ago already guessed or leaked the plot of the movie and I SERIOUSLY THINK it must be some spot boy jerk. But anyways, despite knowing the plot I still went to see the movie, that too First day first show. The moment I saw the plot becoming real within the first 10 minutes, I was skeptical whether I will like this movie. But to my surprise Aamir Khan blew me away with his incomparable acting skills and cuteness of the character. He will make you feel as if you are looking at a child who has been introduced in the world for the first time but has a consciousnesses. The main subject of the movie or so to say the "Strong Message", has been adapted by many movies before but PK stands far out from any of them. This movie will make you laugh but also make you cry. My year definitely ended with such a present from Rajkumar Hirani.
