The patent describes a frequency-hopping device that guides radio-controlled torpedoes. Hedy Lamarr,(born Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler), a Viennese-born American actress, is remembered by some as the most beautiful woman in the world. She is the first Hollywood woman to have appeared naked on film, [Ecstasy, (1933)], and the first Hollywood woman to have received a U.S. patent.
