Storyline

Katinka Faragó, who is Hungarian, was Ingmar Bergman's partner and producer. It is not easy to be the producer of films like the ones made by Ingmar Bergman. Neither in the old world, nor in the contemporary one, his work does not fit any of the categories of the film industry; or one should say, the reason why this is so, is that his films have nothing to do with either industry or commerce. Nevertheless, Katinka Faragó had been working with Ingmar Bergman from the very start of his career, always struggling to get the funding for his feature and television films, creative projects. Once again, this year, she came to the Teacher Training College in Szombathely, Hungary, where a one week seminar was held for the students on Bergman. This is the location where this colourful portrait was filmed about the Hungarian born, woman and producer. Written by Márta Goldmann
