Not forever please

"Once and Forever" is an 11-minute short film from this year written and directed by famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. It says in the description that Kristen Stewart plays Coco Chanel, but this is only partially true. It is really Kristen Stewart playing herself and Geraldine Chaplin playing Geraldine Chaplin too. these two were cast to play Chanel in a movie, so this is a movie inside a movie. I am a great fan of Stewart and she is fine here too as always, but somehow Lagerfeld as a writer just isn't doing it for me. I found his other Coco Chanel film starring Keira Knightley mediocre already as well. So it's not really the actresses' fault that this one did not work out so well. It's a bit more on the pretentious side than delivering a good story, but I cannot say this is too surprising given who made this movie. Not recommended.
