In this music video for Radiohead's new single, singer Thom Yorke traverses a shifting landscape of hall-ways, houses, department stores and mountains in search of an unknown destination. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.
This is "Sapokanikan", a 5-minute music video for the song with the same name by American singer Joanna Newsom. The director here is the star: namely Oscar nominee (hopefully winner at some point) Paul Thomas Anderson. He made many music videos early in his career, so this is a bit of back to the roots for him, even if he made another with his ex-girlfriend Fiona Apple a while ago. So yeah, maybe his participation here is also the reason why I quite liked the video in terms of visual aesthetics. The thing which sort of ruined it for me was Joanna Newsom's voice. Not a fan at all. It sounds way too child-like in my opinion. That is just personal preference though and you may see it completely differently, but as for me, I have no interest in ever watching (and listening to) this one again. Not recommended.
