[first lines]
Emily Locke: Just moved here for a new job. Really excited. How long have you lived in Charm City?
Man: Long enough to know it sucks.
Emily Locke: I don't know. I like it. A little bigger than where I grew up, but not that different...
[sound of evil laughter followed by a crashing noise]
Emily Locke: Except for that.

That was fantastic!

It was light and it was funny! I liked it. Some might argue that the fx were cheap, but I might counter that if it were any more rich, the show might have to take itself seriously. The train scene was among the worst with all the green screen action BUT it still worked.

The effects were somewhat laughable BUT the show made me laugh, so to me, it worked. Powerless' first episode gave me a few chuckles and a couple of smiles. I love the whole vibe of the show. It was great to see Danny Pudi on screen again (R.I.P Community. #AndAMovie ). Vanessa Hudgens did a great job and over all, Im looking forward to more from everyone. Alan Tudyk seemed to be on a slippery slope after Suburgatory and was supposedly part of the reason we never got another season. Anyway, he seemed perfect for the role and was a joy to watch.

Better Off Ted does come to mind, I loved that show. Maybe Phil and Lem can join the team in a few seasons :P (fingers crossed) Honestly that idea is neither here nor there because here we have Powerless. It is what it is and the description says it all.

Perhaps you've seen an episode or two already. If not, I recommend it, and I'm sure fans of shows like The Office, Better Off Ted, Community and comic book super hero nerds will agree.

P.S I nearly tuned out in the first few minutes but decided to give the entire ep a chance to show me what its got, and, imo, it paid off. The Office is done and so is Community; this really seems to have the potential to fit the bill.
