Storyline

Gibbs gets a call about a Petty Officer who's been missing. It seems like her fingerprints were found at the scene of a murder. They deduce the victim abducted her and she fought back killing him and then ran away. They find her at the airport. She says her husband told her to meet her there because they were in danger but he didn't show up. They wonder why was she abducted and did her husband have anything to do with it. So they try to find him. They go to where he works and learn that they were at the brink of divorcing a few years ago when she had an affair. So they wonder did her husband decide to get back at her or did her lover. They later find evidence that the husband was the CEO of a company that had 3 million dollars so they wonder what was he doing with all that money. Written by rcs0411@yahoo.com

NCIS has run for 14 years, this is why. This episode had a great case and showcased (almost) everyone correctly. Plus it's a Halloween episode.

A great thing about this episode is that the murders feel like real NCIS. The earlier seasons weren't afraid to show lots of blood on the victims. This episode goes back to that old style. Another old style thing was the case. It was extremely complex with lots of red herrings. I never suspected who was finally guilty.

The characters are awesome in this episode. This is truly the old Gibbs. "I invited NCIS here as a courtesy." "How about as a courtesy I don't kick your a**" That's one of the great lines of this episode. Gibbs also serves as a mentor to Torres for a short while. I hope this continues and evolves because it could be a great storyline. He also solves the case: Gibbs never gets too old to crack an impossible mystery. Gibbs was awesome but like in almost every season 14 episode, Torres stole the show. His charisma, energy, attitude (the e-mail thing was hilarious!) and humor are absolutely awesome: the perfect replacement for DiNozzo. Unfortunately the same can't be said for Quinn who delivers the worst scene with her accusing a suspect wrongfully and saying: "Sometimes my gut is right" (rolls eyes and sighs of disbelief). The other person who was lame was McGee. In the older seasons McGee was my favorite character (2nd after Gibbs actually) because of his awesome lines of comic relief. Now he's too serious and the e-mail scene was cringeworthy. Luckily Abby was awesome in this episode. She's her charismatic funny self, which shows us 14 years barely changes anything.

What a great episode. This is my second favorite episode of season 14 so far (after "The tie that binds"). I really enjoyed the characters, the great case and themes. There's even a nice message about family with Torres at the end.
