Storyline

With more than 11,000 sharks killed per hour worldwide, the conservation of sharks is at the forefront of ocean biologist and environmental scientists across the globe. However, it's not just for the sake of science and our ocean environments that we need to conserve sharks, it's also our economies that depend on these prehistoric predators. Shark$ takes an in-depth look at the science behind saving sharks as well as diving into the economic importance of these animals, using the state of Florida as a microcosm for a larger, global issue.
