Dramatic French WWII movie about a christian boy in a boarding school who befriends a jewish boy hidden there along with others by the priest, director of that school. When they are found out by the NAZIs and are taken away, the christian boys that remain say goodbye to the father, and he says Au revoir les enfants back to them. Very dramatic indeed!!!

An ageing woman dreams of getting on a TV show and goes on a diet of uppers in the mornings and downers in the evenings, prescribed by her doc. She doesn't realise that. of course! Her son, a junkie, and a friend dream of making money selling heroin, and the son's girlfriend dreams of being a designer. All their dreams die, hence the title. Very intense movie, intense soundtrack.
