My Pick for It Chapter 2 Casting

by diego_cuevs21 | created - 26 Feb 2018 | updated - 26 Feb 2018 | Public

I love It. As a book, TV miniseries, and of course as the 2017 movie. I am a huge fan of casting movies that are based on different types of media. So this list will have actors who I believe should be cast in the sequel. Sure this will be outdated when the real cast comes out. But this is just for fun. Also if you have any casting choices leave a comment down below for any other choice.

1. Bill Skarsgård

Actor | It

Bill Skarsgård was born on August 9, 1990 in Vällingby, Sweden as Bill Istvan Günther Skarsgård. He is an actor and producer, known for It (2017), Allegiant (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).

Obviously keep Bill as Pennywise. There is no one better and it makes sense to keep him. He was game in the first and I believe he will bring his A game in this sequel. Plus no one does creepy like the Skarsgard family.

2. Jaeden Martell

Actor | St. Vincent

Jaeden Martell was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2011, at the age of eight, he moved with his mother across the country to Los Angeles. He never expected that this adventure would lead him into a life of acting. Without any acting classes or training and shortly after arriving in Los ...

Played an excellent Bill and they kept his stutter which is such an important part of his character.

3. Christian Bale

Actor | The Dark Knight

Christian Charles Philip Bale was born in Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK on January 30, 1974, to English parents Jennifer "Jenny" (James) and David Bale. His mother was a circus performer and his father, who was born in South Africa, was a commercial pilot. The family lived in different countries ...

This is Jaeden's choice for who should play older Bill. Which I will be okay with. But I have my own choices.

4. Jason Bateman

Actor | Arrested Development

Jason Bateman is an American film and television actor, known for his role as Michael Bluth on the television sitcom Arrested Development (2003), as well as his role on Valerie (1986).

He was born in Rye, New York. His father, Kent Bateman, from a Utah-based family, is a film and television director...

Ozark. Ozark. If you have not watch Ozark on Netflix fix that immediately. This is my 1st choice who should play the older Bill.

5. Joel Edgerton

Actor | The Gift

Joel Edgerton was born on June 23, 1974 in Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia, to Marianne (van Dort) and Michael Edgerton, who is a solicitor and property developer. His brother is filmmaker Nash Edgerton. His mother is a Dutch immigrant. Joel went to Hills Grammar School in the Western Suburbs...

He is my 2nd choice. I've been a huge fan of Joel for the longest time. And actually I can see Joel not only be a leader among this group but also he is an actor who is able to be this quite type and have a hidden past.

6. Finn Wolfhard

Actor | It

Finn Wolfhard was born in Vancouver, Canada, where he is now in high school. He has always had a laser focus on continuously growing as an actor, all the way back from the time that he saw his first movie (thank you Sam Raimi's Spider-Man (2002)!).

Following that pivotal life event, Finn went to ...

Richie Tozier. Finn is downright comedy. As a Richie he is the perfect kid. And he himself has cast the perfect adult Richie part.

7. Bill Hader

Actor | The Skeleton Twins

Bill Hader was born on June 7, 1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for The Skeleton Twins (2014), Inside Out (2015) and Trainwreck (2015). He was previously married to Maggie Carey.

Now this is an actor I can get behind in playing the adult Richie. Of course he has comedy chops, but to me The Skeleton Twins really does show that Bill can act. This is an excellent choice.

8. Sophia Lillis

Actress | It

Sophia Lillis was born in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. She started her acting career at the age of seven, when her stepfather encouraged her to take acting classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Manhattan. While studying there, a teacher recommended her for a role in an NYU student film...

Talk about breakout star. Sophia is incredibly talented and it is amazing to see a female character that is well developed and an equal among the boys. Her Bev choice is okay tho.

9. Jessica Chastain

Actress | Zero Dark Thirty

Jessica Michelle Chastain was born in Sacramento, California, and was raised in a middle-class household in a northern California suburb. Her mother, Jerri Chastain, is a vegan chef whose family is originally from Kansas, and her stepfather is a fireman. She discovered dance at the age of nine and ...

She has actual worked with the director before and Sophia has referenced her to play the adult Bev. But to me there is not a soft spot in her. Which Bev as an adult has a lot of tragedy in her life.

10. Amy Adams

Actress | Arrival

Amy Lou Adams was born in Vicenza, Veneto, Italy, to American parents, Kathryn (Hicken) and Richard Kent Adams, a U.S. serviceman who was stationed at Caserma Ederle in Italy at the time. She was raised in a Mormon family of seven children in Castle Rock, Colorado, and has English, as well as ...

Now this is my first choice to play adult Bev. Because of one word Arrival. Among other great films hell even Big Eyes has parallel to that abusive relationship. But to me if you have seen Arrival you can tell that Amy is one of greatest actress of our time. Again she has a lot of films under her belt that prove that. I believe that with adult Bev she can not only hold her own with her male co stars but also where adult Bev's life continues I can see Amy handle those emotions.

11. Sarah Paulson

Actress | 12 Years a Slave

Sarah Paulson was born on December 17, 1974 in Tampa, Florida, to Catharine Gordon (Dolcater) and Douglas Lyle Paulson II. She spent most of her early years in New York and Maine, before settling in Manhattan to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the High School for Performing Arts. ...

Now this is my wild card. I love Sarah Paulson and I can't wait to see her in Ocean's 8. Why because it looks like she is playing a boring housewife breaking bad again. Which I believe Sarah can handle that good girl image with also having a turning point. That is a great balance that Sophia had in the first movie while also bringing that to adult Bev. Plus have you seen The People VS. O.J. Simpson.

12. Chosen Jacobs

Actor | It

Chosen Jacobs is definitely a rising star! Although new to Hollywood, he has always been able to entertain a crowd.

Chosen was seen on the silver screen in the highly-anticipated horror film "IT", based on Stephen King's novel and directed by Andy Muschietti in 2017. In the film, he portrays the ...

Not seeing anything from him before this film really made me excited to see in future projects, because this kid is fantastic in all his scenes. And even tho they did change some things about Mike Hanlon he still was able to capture what that character meant much to me reading in the book. His choice is actually pretty good.

13. Chadwick Boseman

Actor | Black Panther

Chadwick Boseman is an American actor. He is known for his portrayal of T'Challa / Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (since 2016), particularly in Black Panther (2018), and for his starring roles in as Jackie Robinson in 42 (2013), James Brown in Get on Up (2014), and Thurgood Marshall...

Lets just remember that this man is in his 40's. Let that sink in for a minute. However he is a good choice and Chosen has a good eye for who to play the adult Mike. But he might be busy they might want to fast track Black Panther 2 because the first one made so much money. He is a great choice.

14. Anthony Mackie

Actor | The Hurt Locker

Anthony Mackie is an American actor. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Martha (Gordon) and Willie Mackie, Sr., who owned a business, Mackie Roofing. Anthony has been featured in feature films, television series and Broadway and Off-Broadway plays, including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, ...

But you know what I have always found Anthony Mackie a great actor who never had his share on the big screen, but he has a lot of great indie role. Now before you say he is the Falcon. Yes but he hasn't had that one big role quite like his breakout calling card quite like The Hurt Locker. And I believe that him as an adult Mike he would do an incredible job. So he is my first choice.

15. Jack Dylan Grazer

Actor | It

Jack Dylan Grazer was born in Los Angeles, California, to parents Angela LaFever and Gavin Grazer.

Growing up in and around the entertainment world it was not long before Jack's talent was spotted and he was encouraged to try acting professionally.

Never afraid of hard work, always with a smile on ...

Funny, talented, and already his character to me has the most relatedable arc for insecure kids and when he grows up that is reflected as an adult. With his choice in his wife and his profession shows that this is a real sad and tragic character that we haven't seen yet. But this is troubling tho because his choice is an actor who I love but I just can't see it.

16. Jake Gyllenhaal

Actor | Nightcrawler

Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal was born in Los Angeles, California, to producer/screenwriter Naomi Foner (née Achs) and director Stephen Gyllenhaal. He is the brother of actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, who played his sister in Donnie Darko (2001). His godmother is actress Jamie Lee Curtis. His mother is from...

Yes I am in love with Jake G. He is underlying talented with range the size of a freeway. But with where adult Eddie's story ends up I'm sorry I just can't see Jake taking it to that place. His story is about an insecure man getting married to a woman who closely reflects his mother while taking a job that we can see he is not in love with.

17. Sam Rockwell

Actor | Moon

Sam Rockwell was born on November 5, 1968, in San Mateo, California, the only child of two actors, Pete Rockwell and Penny Hess. The family moved to New York when he was two years old, living first in the Bronx and later in Manhattan. When Sam was five years old, his parents separated, at which ...

Now this is my first choice as adult Eddie. Why because no one has great comedy quite like Sam Rockwell while at the same time has layers of sad depth that it takes for an adult to handle. There is no other better actor, which sure he is older than most of the cast but to me if you are looking for a great supporting actor there is no one better than Sam. And I know he can handle that insecure older man persona, with also going with the flow of life. He is incredible with almost every film he is in.

18. Sebastian Stan

Actor | Captain America: Civil War

Sebastian Stan was born on August 13, 1982, in Constanta, Romania. He moved with his mother to Vienna, Austria, when he was eight, and then to New York when he was twelve. Stan studied at Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts and spent a year at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London.

When he went ...

Yes yes I know he is Bucky and females love this guy and they see him as a hunk. But if you strip that down and go in the vein of I, Tonya, then you will have a perfect adult Eddie. He to me has range which he has played the good looking guy in a lot of films, so this might be a good change of pace for Sebastian Stan.

19. Wyatt Oleff

Actor | It

Wyatt Oleff is an actor and assistant director, known for It (2017), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).

It does suck that his story wasn't as well developed as the other kids but he is still a great young actor. And actually his choice is really interesting.

20. Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Actor | Inception

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has completed production on the untitled Henry Joost/Ariel Schulman sci-fi film for Netflix in which he stars opposite Jamie Foxx and on the independent thriller, 7500, written and directed by Patrick Vollarth. Among his other projects, he is in development on a variety of ...

Adult Stanley. Very interesting because JGL is a really good actor but again with Jake G I really can't see a leading man like him taking a role that is actually the less of the kids from the first one. And he story ends tragically that I can't see him taking this role. But I do have a different choice. I don't even see Stanley (spoiler) being in this film in it a whole lot. Because he is the one that sets everything in motion.

21. Rafe Spall

Actor | The Big Short

Rafe Spall was born on March 10, 1983 in Camberwell, London, England as Rafe Joseph Spall. He is an actor, known for The Big Short (2015), Life of Pi (2012) and The Ritual (2017). He has been married to Elize du Toit since August 14, 2010. They have three children.

This is my first choice. I don't know if he is Jewish or not but I have seen The Ritual and the Christmas Special of Black Mirror and he is incredible in both. So I can totally see him play the older Stanley.

22. Jeremy Strong

Actor | The Big Short

Film work includes Molly's Game, Detroit, The Big Short, The Judge, Selma, Parkland, Lincoln, Zero Dark Thirty.

Theater work includes A Man For All Seasons on Broadway and extensive work Off Broadway.

Jeremy was recipient of the Lincoln Center Theater Annenberg Fellowship. He studied at Yale, The ...

Then again another The Big Short supporting actor I can see play an exceptional adult Stanley. This is a great supporting actor who has a lot of range but he is not blond but it is whatever. So I can see him playing the older Stanley.

23. Jeremy Ray Taylor

Actor | It

Jeremy Ray Taylor is an actor, known for It (2017), 42 (2013) and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015).

Last but certainly not least. A great young actor who has a great choice to play the adult Ben. But there is no way it is going to happen.

24. Chris Pratt

Actor | Guardians of the Galaxy

Christopher Michael Pratt is an American film and television actor. He came to prominence for his small-screen roles, including Bright Abbott in Everwood (2002), Ché in The O.C. (2003), and Andy Dwyer and Parks and Recreation (2009), and notable film roles in Moneyball (2011), The Five-Year ...

If Chris Pratt is cast then it would be the perfect choice because he definitely fits what Ben as a character had been, while representing what in the future he will become. But this is never going to happen. This would be a great choice. But I fell like if we are going to have this love triangle I fell like there has to be an equal of all three.

25. Scoot McNairy

Actor | Argo

During the early 2000s, actor Scoot McNairy quickly came to specialize in portrayals of colorful and individualistic young men with a slightly rebellious edge. McNairy began during the early to mid-2000s, with bit parts in films including Wonderland (2003), Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), and Art ...

Poor Scoot McNairy. He has becoming the new Sean Bean. But I would love to see him play the adult Ben because think of the love triangle Jason Bateman and Scoot fighting over Amy this is both believe and adds a lot of drama to this film. This is my first choice.

26. Rose Leslie

Actress | The Last Witch Hunter

Rose Leslie is a Scottish actress. Her leading on screen debut was at age 21 in the television film New Town (2009). She is famous for playing Ygritte in the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011). Leslie also appeared in the films Now Is Good (2012) and The Last Witch Hunter (2015).

Leslie was ...

Audra Denbrough.
