If there is one bada$s mofo whom you actually fear bond will not be able to overcome, it will be the biggest mofo of them all played by the most legendary, scary, impressive, unforgettable mofo of all time, mr washington can generate any paycheck that he demands for this role. Although I'm pretty sure a good screenplay and a layered character is about anything (and yet not always as easy to accomplish in this genre) the producers need to convince him.

His range is wide enough, and he has played not enough baddies yet. We know he can unleash unlimited anger as well. Hugh Jackman can portray very smart, distinguished characters as well, so all in all: he got everything to be the perfect villain.

Wouldn't it be nice to have mr not-so-nice-as-he-used-to-be play mr never nice? Mel Gibson is a kind of 90's star who is ready for a huge come back in a huge movie in part to show that he still knows to show some deep and real human feelings. I bet he's still capable of doing some pretty impressive stunts and mean action scenes.

8. Fiona Shaw
Shaw was already an acknowledged stage actress before she made a name for herself in television and film. It wasn't until the mid 1980s that director Jim Sheridan awarded her a role in his film My Left Foot (1989); the biographical film of Christy Brown, an Irishman confined to a body horribly ...
As hard it is to imagine, strong female characters are far too absent in movie history. Fiona Shaw has that special kind of face to become such a memorable and strong character. Sympathetic at first, but unpredictable and unstoppable in her following scenes. I imagine a female Joker for her. Physically in great shape (as strong as Famke Jansen in Goldeneye perhaps), intelligent as Hannibal Lecter and with an underlying absolute madness. Other people might suggest Tilda Swinton, but there are so many actresses who haven't played such intelligent women and would be much more fresh and enjoyable in the role.

He could play a politician, us government type of guy. Something with a cover up and a war involving the american and british troops. Blackmailed by terrorists... playing a mole for terrorists, leaking all kinds of crucial information, something like that.
