Founded distribution company Filmkunstverleih Pandora together with Reinhard Brundig.
Italian/German producer/distributor/sales-agent Karl "Baumi" Baumgartner was one of the first friends and supporters of the festival. As friend of AFF founder and director Sergej Stanojkovski, Baumi helped and supported the founding and development of the festival. He received the first "Tomislav Pinter Award" that is named after croatias most productive filmmaker in the 20th century, legendary Tomislav Pinter and is give every year to personalities that have contributed to the development of film as art. When director Sergej Stanojkovski, a student from Pragues FAMU, was grading his film "Kontakt" in Germany with DOP Tom Pinter, Baumi came from Frankfurt to meet in person and shake hands with legendary Pičo (Tomislav Pinter) about whom he heard so many great stories from Slovenian DOP Vilko Filać, a student from Pragues FAMU and DOP of the early films of Emir Kusturica. During the 2010 festival edition Baumi attended a roundtable organized by Avvantura FF and Sergej Stanojkovski on launching croatias first Filmcomission, which resulted of its launch in 2014.
