I thoroughly enjoyed FOUR WEDDINGS & A FUNERAL. Then I vaguely enjoyed NINE MONTHS (please don't think less of me). Then Hugh cheated on the divine Miss Hurley and like many people, I lost all respect for him. Then I was forced to watch ABOUT A BOY against my will and I found myself enjoying it so much that I instantly forgave Hugh for not wanting to disrespect Liz's mouth and opting to insert his member in the mouth of a hideous prozzie instead. Quite frankly Liz should be ashamed of herself for being so high-maintenance. Get ya gob round it Lizzie!

PLEASE NOTE: I apologise if I sound crass for the sake of crass... but you've obviously got me all wrong... I really am this shallow :p

32. Pirate Radio (2009)

R | 117 min | Comedy, Drama, Music

A band of rogue DJs that captivated Britain, playing the music that defined a generation and standing up to a government that wanted classical music, and nothing else, on the airwaves.

Director: Richard Curtis | Stars: Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Nick Frost, Michael Hadley

Votes: 101,532 | Gross: $7.99M

Many people consider this to be one of Richard Curtis' weaker efforts. Firstly, they initially said the same thing about LOVE, ACTUALLY. Secondly, the cast is beyond brilliant. Thirdly, the Pirate Radio story needed to be told. Fourthly, the soundtrack is awesome... because "Love Is All Around Me" isn't on it :p In my opinion, it probably didn't fare too well at the box office or with the critics because women aren't exactly portrayed in the best light. They're all fickle, heartless sluts... except for the lesbian :D

TRIPPY TRIVIA: Did you know that Smooth Bob from the early EARLY morning slot is also Del Preston from Wayne's World 2? "But the shopkeeper and his son... that was a different story all together. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes."

Director: Adrian Edmondson | Stars: Rik Mayall, Adrian Edmondson, Bill Nighy, Kate Ashfield

Votes: 8,643

Do I really need to add a description? It's 4.5 stars worth of Rik & Ade at their absolute best with memorable early performances by Vincent Cassel, Bill Nighy & Simon Pegg.

PLEASE NOTE: I've deducted half a star because the last 10-odd minutes worth of the film where everyone is spewing uncontrollably is a tad too silly for my liking. I expect more sophisticated humour from Rik & Ade :p

This pitch black comedy took me roughly from behind. I was blown away by how enjoyable it was. I'd still be raving about it... even if I didn't catch a glimpse of the little girl from Sir Gadabout's knockers.
