Not quite the worst film I've seen, if you can even call it that, but it isn't far off.

Votes: 13,269

4. Goon (2011)

R | 92 min | Comedy, Drama, Sport

64 Metascore

Labeled an outcast by his brainy family, a bouncer overcomes long odds to lead a team of under performing misfits to semi-pro hockey glory, beating the crap out of everything that stands in his way.

Director: Michael Dowse | Stars: Seann William Scott, Jay Baruchel, Alison Pill, Eugene Levy

Votes: 79,675 | Gross: $4.17M

Goon is a bit of a weird one. I didn't hate it while watching, but the film simply fails at what it set out to do: it isn't funny. It didn't get a single laugh from me.

5. Moonrise Kingdom (2012)

84 Metascore

6. Wrath of the Titans (2012)

PG-13 | 99 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

37 Metascore

Director: Jonathan Liebesman | Stars: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Rosamund Pike, Ralph Fiennes

Votes: 171,956 | Gross: $83.67M

Another generic sequel with an under-cooked script and an over-reliance on poor CGI, this feature is really dull due to a lack of any characterisation and choppy action set-pieces; there's no sense of fun either.

7. Life of Pi (2012)

PG | 127 min | Adventure, Drama, Fantasy

79 Metascore

A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While cast away, he forms an unexpected connection with another survivor: a fearsome Bengal tiger.

Director: Ang Lee | Stars: Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain, Tabu

Votes: 534,004 | Gross: $124.99M

Highly over-rated by critics and audiences alike, this is a genuine snooze-fest with uninspired dialogue and too much CGI for it's own good.

8. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)

PG-13 | 169 min | Adventure, Family, Fantasy

58 Metascore

A reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain home, and the gold within it from the dragon Smaug.

Director: Peter Jackson | Stars: Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Andy Serkis

Votes: 718,391 | Gross: $303.00M

This is a bore from start to finish, really terrible in my opinion. It has such an inconsistent tone and seems to not understand it's target audience, plus the length is wholly unwarranted and I struggled to sit through it all.

9. The Sweeney (2012)

R | 112 min | Action, Crime, Drama

48 Metascore

A hardened detective in the Flying Squad of London's Metropolitan police. Based on the '70s UK TV show.

Director: Nick Love | Stars: Ray Winstone, Plan B, Hayley Atwell, Steven Mackintosh

Votes: 18,072 | Gross: $0.03M

Generic is the only way I can describe this one, it is almost face-palm inducing clichéd from start to finish - so much so that the enjoyment that may be found from some of the action sequences is dampened significantly.

69 Metascore

Chris wants to show girlfriend Tina his world, but events soon conspire against the couple and their dream caravan holiday takes a very wrong turn.

Votes: 24,779 | Gross: $0.04M
